University Outreach in the Triple Helix Model of Collaboration for Entrepreneurial Development

This paper presents an empirical study of the role university outreach in triple helix collaboration model adopted for development knowledge-based entrepreneurship a community enterprise Thailand. The is hybrid university-industry-government networks knowledge transfer and innovation development. research project was case using qualitative ground theory approach, semi-structured interviews, documentary analysis its data collection tools. investigates how performed by academic members regional from Northeast region Thailand plays promoting local to become entrepreneurship. chose organic rice farming as study. discovered that primary source creative required innovative delivery via service financially supported funding government agency. evidence showed participating academics delivered their with sufficient entrepreneurial skills. Moreover, promoted enterprise’s business significantly added economic value production. In addition identifying success factors, this also discusses challenge further sustaining contribution constructing systematic support integrity interdisciplinary research-based
